Sinking Creek Road in Johnson City closed until February 2022

Sinking Creek Road in south Johnson City is closed to through traffic until February of next year. City officials say this closure is due to a replacement project of the bridge at Miller Lane. Emergency traffic and public traffic will not be able to pass. Property owners on Sinking Creek Road will be permitted access to get in and out of their homes. Drivers are encouraged to avoid this area if possible. Detours and signage will be in place. This closure is expected to last until the bridge replacement project is complete in February 2022.
