Three dogs from Johnson City Animal Shelter adopted after over 500 days in shelter
The Johnson City Animal Shelter announced that three more long-term residents have found forever homes. Shelter employees say a day like this has never happened before. Three dogs, all of them with over 500 days at the shelter, were adopted by loving families. Tank and Marley are a pair of bonded dogs with 572 days at the shelter. They were adopted together, so they could continue being best friends. Kaos is a senior dog that had some bad luck when someone adopted her and her sister, and after a year returned her to the shelter. She, too has finally been adopted. The shelter says days like this are why they do not give up. Employees stress the importance of adopting and rescuing animals. There are countless more dogs and cats waiting for their forever homes at the Johnson City Animal Shelter.
