Nickelsville man dies from injuries suffered in Sept. 2nd crash

A Scott County, Virginia man has died as a result of injuries sustained earlier this month in a single-vehicle crash.

James M. Powers, 69, of Nickelsville, passed away on Sept. 9th following the Sept. 2nd crash in the Valley Creek community on Route 670.

Preliminary details from State Police said Powers’ truck ran off the left side of the road and down a steep embankment. Powers was ejected from the pickup during the wreck.
