Greene County Resident’s Participating In National Health Exam
About 700 Greene County residents are participating in physical exams on the Tusculum University campus later this month. While the physicals provide important information for those involved in the program, the results can potentially lead to recommended policy changes designed to improve people’s well being. The initiative is part of a federal program started in the 1960’s to learn more about the nation’s health. One example of change that occurred as a result of the exams took place in the mid1980’s when the government learned women’s diets did not have enough folic acid.
