ETSU participating in Deaf Awareness Month with events all week
September is Deaf Awareness Month, and East Tennessee State University is participating with a week-long slate of events. Assistant professor Stephanie Horvath says they have activities planned for everyone who wants to learn more about American sign language, deaf culture, and ETSU’s ASL minor program. The university will host activities that include an ASL Night at Saturday’s football game, a coffee hang out in the Culp Center, and a Deaf-Owned Business Spotlight. A full schedule of events for Deaf Awareness Week can be found at etsu.edu/news in the Deaf Awareness article.
