Bristol Tennessee Council, Says City Is In Good Spot, Financially, Approves New, Reappraised Property Tax Rate
Bristol Tennessee City Council voted to certify a new reappraised, real property tax rate on Monday. With the council declaring the city of Bristol is in a good spot, concerning its finances, Council approved a one dollar and ninety eight cent property tax rate for 2021-2022. This year was a reappraisal year, the equalized rate as it is referred to, taxes real property, which is the single largest source of city revenues. The levy is based on more than 785 million dollars in assessed property in the city of Bristol. Tax notices are expected to be sent to property owners in late October.
