Virginia Ranked As A Top State For Health Threat Preparedness
The Commonwealth of Virginia is once again receiving high marks for its statewide readiness when it comes to public health threats. Amid a COVID-19 pandemic that has been a real world stress test for everyone, Virginia is being recognized as a top state in a National Health Security Preparedness Index. Virginia’s hospitals, public health, emergency management agencies and other public and private stakeholders have effectively navigated the unprecedented COVID crisis while facing many pandemic related challenges. The Commonwealth of Virginia is one of four states earning a seven point four score out of ten. Maryland, Massachusetts, and Nebraska also joined Virginia as top states for health threat preparedness.
