Rocky Mount State Historic Site hosting Harvest Festival this weekend

Rocky Mount State Historic Site is hosting a Harvest Festival this weekend. Organizers invite families to celebrate the fall season like it’s 1791 with an abundance of activities. Living history tours of the farm will be available all weekend. Demonstrations include blacksmithing, apple cider pressing, and fireplace cooking. There will be traditional toys and games for kids such as sack racing and corn hole. The site is hosting their first ever pumpkin carving contest where participants will battle over the two-day event to win. People can register for this contest by contacting Rocky Mount.
