SWVA U.S. Senator’s DEA Reform Measure Passes Senate
Lapses in the registration of manufacturers, distributors, and sellers of legal opioids could and may have contributed to the horrific after affects of the Opioid Crisis in southwest Virginia. United States Senator Morgan Griffith’s Drug Enforcement Agency reform bill has received approval in the U.S. Senate. Griffith’s legislation, the Ensuring Compliance Against Drug Diversion Act amends and replaces the Controlled Substances Act to prohibit the transfer of any Drug Enforcement Agency registration to manufacture, distribute or dispense controlled substances without written consent from the Agency.
