The Mount Rogers Health District says it plans to begin administering the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to children age 5 to 11, if the CDC makes a recommendation at their November 2nd advisory meeting.
The CDC advisory committee will meet Tuesday to discuss the Pfizer vaccine for this age group, and decide on whether or not to recommend the vaccine to kids age 5 to 11. When the vaccine becomes available for this age group, information can be found on vaccinate.virginia,gov.
