Woman arrested at Johnson City Walmart for swapping price tags at self-checkout

A Rogersville woman is behind bars for burglary and criminal trespassing after she was caught switching price tags in the Browns Mill, Johnson City Walmart. A Johnson City Police report says 24 year old Tracy M. Benton previously signed a notice prohibiting her from trespassing on the property. On Tuesday, Benton was observed switching price tags on merchandise and then scanning the lower price at self checkout. Benton is currently being held at the Washington County Detention Center on a $2,000 bond.
