Virginia’s Vaccine Liaison, Danny Avula, Says Data Shows Booster Shot Beneficial

Virginia’s Vaccination Liaison says data shows a tangible benefit to people when they receive a vaccine booster. The CDC’s recently announcement all adults, age 18 and older are now eligible to get a booster shot if they have completed a two dose initial vaccine from either Moderna or Pfizer. An estimated two point two million Virginian’s are now eligible to receive the booster from either manufacturer. The CDC also continues to recommend individuals 18 and older who received the Johnson and Johnson vaccine receive a booster dose at least two months after being vaccinated.
