Bristol Resident Killed In Sunday Night Crash On NSF

A Sunday night crash on North State of Franklin Road in Johnson City has claimed the life of one person. Johnson City Police tell us Jesse L. Hawk of Bristol, Tennessee was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash that occurred Sunday night around nine on NSF under the I26 overpass. Officers discovered a 2009 Honda Accord that was traveling south on NSF collided with a freight liner box truck. The crash closed NSF while rescue efforts and a crash investigation was underway. No word if the driver of the box truck was injured, Johnson City Police are investigating.
