Food Supply Chain Infrastructure Project Now Underway In Southwest Virginia
Appalachian Sustainable Development is creating critical infrastructure in the food supply chain for region one which includes the city of Bristol, Scott County and the Town of Duffield, Virginia. The agency is working with the three municipalities to create an outfitting building space at the Appalachian Harvest Food Hub with equipment and space needed to process produce. The new infrastructure increases processing capacity and revenue for small scale agricultural product producers in the region.
