Telford woman arrested for assaulting child while driving them to school intoxicated

A Telford woman is in jail after police say she assaulted a child while driving them to school intoxicated. Police received a call from a concerned motorist when they saw 56-year-old Rosanna Peterson driving erratically and physically assaulting a child on Highway 11E.

Shortly after the call, the vehicle pulled into Grandview Elementary to drop the child and one other off. A school resource officer was standing by and made contact with Peterson, which revealed that she was under the influence while driving the children to school. The children were turned over to staff at the school and Peterson was arrested and charged with DUI and domestic assault.
