Report: Johnson City woman found asleep in running car at Walmart; multiple drugs found
A Johnson City woman was arrested in Greeneville after police received calls about her asleep in a running vehicle. Officers responded to the Greeneville Walmart early Thursday morning, where they found Felicia Hopson, 35, asleep in a running car, parked in the fire lane in the front of Walmart.
A police report says Hopson struggled to take her seatbelt off, so deputies had to help her get out of the car. A K9 alerted on the car for narcotics, and upon search, police found a used syringe, a substance believed to be meth, an alprazolam and buprenorphine pill, other paraphernalia, and clothing from a store with aluminum foil over the security tags. She refused a field sobriety test, and officers placed her under arrest for DUI, possession of meth, and other related charges. The clothing was seized and will be investigated.
