Tennessee Gov. Lee proposes 30-day grocery tax suspension
Tennessee Governor Lee on Thursday, 3/24 proposed a 30-day suspension of grocery sales tax, in an effort to provide financial relief to residents while inflation surges nationwide. Gov. Lee says suspending state and local grocery tax is the most effective way to give direct relief to every Tennessean.
This proposal to suspend grocery tax for 30 days will be included in the fiscal year budget amendment, to be delivered on March 29th. Read more on the Governor’s official website.
