Johnson City man found with 300 grams meth, 800 grams marijuana with child at a school
A Johnson City man was arrested on Friday after he was found in possession of hundreds of grams of drugs and ran from police and hit a car while fleeing. Officers were informed that Kwamaine Sarden was at Mountain View Elementary School, and had multiple outstanding warrants for aggravated assault and domestic assault.
When deputies approached him in the school parking lot, he drove off, hitting a parked and occupied vehicle in the process. Officers lost sight of him, and later found the vehicle he was driving abandoned on W. Poplar Street. Sarden was located soon after on foot in an alleyway in the 300 block of W. Chestnut Street and taken into custody. Police found more than 350 grams of meth and 881 grams of marijuana, along with $3,200 cash. Further investigation also revealed Sarden had a loaded handgun and all the substances in the vehicle with a child at the school. The child’s mother, Allandra Ingle, claimed ownership of the vehicle and the firearm, and was also arrested for child abuse/neglect.
