Johnson City Man Facing Eight Charges Including Aggravated Kidnapping, Burglary, And Assault

A Johnson City man is being arraigned on eight separate charges including aggravated Domestic Assault, Kidnapping and Burglary following an incident Monday morning. Officers responded to a home on Lakewood Drive in reference to a burglary in progress. Malik Williams was threatening his girlfriend with a firearm. Williams, and an accomplice, Deaszhon Smith allegedly kidnapped the girl forcing her to drive Williams to his residence. The victim escaped. Williams and Smith then drove back to the victim’s house, kicking in the front door. Police discovered the firearm, marijuana and 742 dollars in drug sales proceeds. The two are being held in the WCTDC.
