Man dead after firing multiple shots at Bristol, Tennessee Police officers
A man is dead in Bristol, Tennessee after a police pursuit ended in an exchange of gunfire in a residential neighborhood. Bristol, Tennessee Police say at around 9:30 Thursday morning, during a pursuit of a vehicle, the suspect damaged the car, abandoned it, and fled on foot.
According to an initial report, the man fired multiple shots at officers, and during the foot pursuit, a BTPD officer used lethal force against the suspect. The man was pronounced dead at the scene and no name has yet been released. The investigation by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is ongoing.
