Kaine To Visit Flood Ravaged Hurley, Virginia’s Recovery Efforts
Next week, as part of a five day tour of southwest Virginia, United States Senator Tim Kaine is meeting with local officials to discuss recovery efforts from the August 2021 flooding and landslides in Hurley, Virginia that killed one person and left millions of dollars in damages. Kaine will tour the damaged Hurley High School as well as meet with residents affected by the flood. Kaine, begins the tour Tuesday in Hurley, where Kaine helped secure more than 170 thousand dollars in federal aid to assist the community in its recovery efforts.
