Big Stone Gap man hauling fentanyl during 2021 crash gets 16 years behind bars
A Big Stone Gap, Virginia man who had 48 grams of fentanyl and guns in his vehicle when he crashed in Scott County last fall has been sent to prison by a federal judge for 16 years.
Prosecutors said Malcolm T’Rell Pinkston, 31, was on probation for federal drug charges when the crash occurred in November on Route 23. Two deputies received medical treatment for fentanyl exposure after processing evidence following the wreck.
