District Attorney formally files petition to transfer juvenile’s homicide charges to adult court
District Attorney Dan Armstrong formally filed petitions in Juvenile Court to request that the case of a Greene County child charged in the homicide deaths of two Chuckey, Tennessee residents be transferred to adult court.
Armstrong said an attorney for the juvenile waived the regular evaluation hearing that comes 72 hours after the arrest. A judge will consider the district attorney’s request at the next hearing scheduled for May 12th.
A motive has not been released in the case although official documents say investigators recovered bloody tools on the property where the bodies of 7-year-old Jessie Allen and 57-year-old Sherry Cole were discovered.
