Caught Red-Handed: Attempted narcotic drop-off foiled after deputies witness woman plant drugs at jail
One person is behind bars and another has additional charges after Washington County, Tennessee officers intercepted a package full of narcotics at the jail. According to Sheriff Keith Sexton, deputies noticed a suspicious vehicle near the trash bins behind the Washington County Detention Center.
They then watched Alicia Webb, 41, of Johnson City place a package under a trash can near the jail’s kitchen, and leave. Officers conducted a traffic stop on her in the detention center parking lot and discovered Webb had been in contact with inmate Jack Patrick, 41, who was assigned as a trustee in the kitchen. Investigation revealed the pair was attempting a drop-off operation of narcotics; and Patrick gave Webb detailed instructions on where to place the package. Alicia Webb was taken into custody on numerous charges and Jack Patrick was given additional charges.
