Youngkin Won’t Replace Removed Confederate Statues

Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin says he will not try to restore Confederate monuments taken down under the previous Democratic administration of former Governor Ralph Northam. In 2020 nine confederate symbols were removed from the Virginia State Capitol as well as the towering statue of General Robert E. Lee. Youngkin says those symbols and statues should be placed in museums or on a battlefield in order to preserve our history.
