Aerial bait drops for rabies vaccines to commence in 13 states
Tennessee and Virginia are two of the 13 states scheduled for oral vaccine aerial drops in the coming weeks.
Raccoons are the primary target of these fishmeal packets that are delivered via helicopter or plane over dense forest areas to help stop the spread of rabies which wildlife experts say affects 60,000 Americans annually when they are bitten or scratched by an infected animal.
