Speed bumps installed at Andrew Johnson historic site to slow speeders
A new addition at the Andrew Johnson National Historic Site in Greeneville won’t bring tourists in but it will slow them down.
The National Park Service announced speed bumps were installed following an increase in speeders traveling through the North College Street grounds and cemetery property.
More speed control ridges are being planned for the roadway in the coming weeks to protect the grounds and the workers who tend to the Greene County landmark.
