READ: Judge denies fingerprint analysis request for convicts in Lillelid murder case
A Greene County, Tennessee Circuit Court Judge has dismissed a request from four of the convicted killers of the Lillelid (LILLY-LID) family for post-conviction fingerprint analysis.
Judge Alex Pearson wrote in his order that Karen Howell, Edward Mullins, Crystal Sturgill, and Joseph Risner, were grasping at any straw to try and find relief from a life sentence and the court is not willing to engage in a fruitless waste of taxpayer dollars.
Attorneys for the Kentucky natives said a print analysis of the gun could exonerate them from the April 1997 execution-style shooting deaths of three family members on a back road off of Interstate 81.
