Scott County Student Injured In Bus Crash Involving Dump Truck, Truck Driver Cited

A student is injured when the bus the student is riding in is involved in a crash with a dump truck in Scott County Virginia. The driver of a dump truck, heading east on Twin Springs Road Monday morning is charged with reckless driving when he ran off the road, losing its load and then overturns. The school bus, with ten students on board, had to swerve to avoid the dump truck and ran off the road and hit a ditch. One child suffered minor abrasions and was take to a local hospital as a precaution. The driver of the dump truck also received minor injuries.
