Rogersville Doctor Charged With Sexual Battery, Facing 39 New Charges
A Rogersville doctor headed to trial on sexual battery charges is now facing even more charges in connection to allegations of prescription fraud. Dr. Chris Calendine’s trial on aggravate sexual battery for allegedly touching two boys ages 12 and 14 is set to begin in three weeks. But now Calendine is charged with 39 new counts of felony identity theft for allegedly prescribing drugs to another person and then using them for himself. The original charges of sexual battery are the result of an investigation into Calendine’s past in which three witnesses made allegations of sexual assault against the 46 year old doctor.
