Report: Subcontractor employee killed at Cardinal plant in Church Hill

A preliminary report says a worker for a subcontracting company was killed in what the plant manager called a tragic accident at the Cardinal Glass facility in Church Hill Wednesday morning.

Emergency crews were summoned to the plant just after 8 a.m. and then the county coroner arrived an hour later.

Exact details on what happened and where in the plant the accident took place have not been released. The name of the victim is also being withheld.
