Water Main Break…Boil Water Alert Closes Bristol, Virginia Schools And St, Anne’s Catholic School Tuesday

A main water line break and boil water alert in neighborhoods surrounding Bristol’s downtown areas has forced Bristol Virginia Public Schools and St, Anne’s Catholic School to close today while repairs are being made. The line broke early Monday, and affects areas around State Street, Euclid Avenue, and Commonwealth Avenue. BVU officials are advising residents as well as businesses to use boiled tap water or bottled water for drinking and cooking purposes…We will let you know as soon as we hear when the boil water alert is lifted.
