Bristol, Virginia City Council To Ask Legislature To Change Laws To Allow Casinos
Bristol, Virginia city council has voted four to zero in favor of asking the Virginia Legislature to change current state laws to allow for a proposed casino to locate at the former Bristol Mall. Project Investor, Jim McGLothlin says the opportunity could mean thousands of jobs for Bristol and the area. If the laws were changed McGlothlin says a casino could produce an economic impact of more than 4 billion dollars.
