Elizabethton Man Killed in Single Vehicle Crash

An Elizabethton man is dead following a Sunday night crash. Elizabethton Police say 71 year old Dayton Ray Stout was traveling north on Grove Street when his vehicle went off the left side of the roadway and then hit a utility pole. The report says Stout was likely suffering from a medical emergency at the time of the crash. Stout was pronounced dead after being transported to Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
