Jonesborough Using FEMA Funds For Costs Of December Water Woes
Remember the arctic cold temperatures in December. Besides dealing with the fridgid weather many in the region were also dealing with frozen water main lines and no water service for days. Now, the Town of Jonesborough is using FEMA funds to receive federal disaster assistance. The money granted to Jonesborough will be used for permanent repairs to the water system. Some of those federal funds will also be used to make repairs to the town’s water plant. Jonesborough could be reimbursed up to 80 percent of what it spend on the December repairs.
