Kingsport BOE Approve New Director Of Schools Contract

Kingsport School officials approve a contract for new Kingsport City Schools Director of Schools, Dr. Chris Hampton. Dr. Hampton, who replaces Dr. Jeff Moorehouse, who retired in October will be payed a base salary of 180 thousand dollars a year, plus a performance bonus pay, a vehicle and money for a home office. The Kingsport School Board approved the contract on a four to zero vote. Dr. Hampton’s contract extends through June 30, of 2027.
