BrightRidge Utilities Constructing Working Solar Farm
A Solar Learning lab that will generate power as well as give the public a chance to see solar power in progress is being constructed by BrightRidge. The utility provider in Johnson City and Washington County will construct the solar farm on BrightRidge’s campus and will consist of more than 800 fixed solar panels covering about an acre at their Boones Creek Road location. The solar farm will be connected to the power grid and will generate about 500 megawatt hours of electricity each year. The power generated will offset the power used at BrightRidge’s administrative building.
