Early Wednesday Morning Blaze Erupts At Abandoned Kingsport Apartment Complex
UPDATE, 1 p.m.
A building marked for demolition by Kingsport officials was the site of a Wednesday morning fire that remains under investigation.
Assistant Fire Chief Terry Arnold said department workers had extinguished three smaller fires at the abandoned apartment complex located in the 700 block of East Center Street prior to Wednesday’s blaze that took about an hour to control.
Arnold noted the large fire was sourced back to the center of the building in an upstairs apartment.
