WCTN Commissioners Approve Dog, Leash Law
Dog owners in Washington County Tennessee can now receive fines and civil litigation if their dog is kept in violation of ten separate conditions recently approved by county commissioners. Among the violations include, dogs can’t be tethered in a way that results, or could reasonably result in the dog frequently entangled on the restraint. The tether must allow the dog to sit, lie down, and stand comfortably without the restraint becoming tight. And tethers must be a minimum of ten feet long and can’t weight more than ten percent of the dogs weight.
