BREAKING: Storm Damage Update
Emergency officials across Northeast Tennessee are dealing with widespread flooding after overnight storms. The storms caused several trees to fall and brought down numerous limbs and power lines, some onto roadways. Washington County, Tennessee officials say the issues are county-wide, but the hardest areas are just west of Jonesborough. The Chuckey, Limestone, and Telford areas have some of the most damage. Hawkins County officials say they are dealing with numerous flooded roads. The Greene County EMA says they are dealing with significant flooding in several areas and some roads are under water. In Carter County, drivers are advised to use caution, especially along Highway 321 near Butler. Several school changes have also been announced Tuesday morning. Those include 2 hour delays for Sullivan and Carter counties opening 2 hours late, and Greene county opening at 10.
