One dead, suspect in custody after Greene County shooting

A man is dead and a suspect in custody following a shooting in Greene County Saturday afternoon. Greene County Sheriff’s Department officers responded to a call at around 3:30 p.m. on Knight Hollow Lane in the Orebank community. The call indicated that someone had been shot in the woods. When officers arrived on scene, they discovered a deceased man from apparent gunshot wounds. The name of the victim is being withheld until notification of next of kin. Police say 26 year old Liam MacDonald-Gagnon of Johnson City has been charged with Second Degree Murder. He was taken to the Greene County Detention Center on a $500,000 bond.
