Treasurer Of Southwest Virginia Volunteer Fire Department Steals Tens Of Thousands Of Dollars

A Bristol, Tennessee woman is facing embezzlement charges for allegedly stealing more than 46 thousand dollars from a volunteer fire department while she served as treasurer for the firefighters. 43 year old Lori Anne Cooper is facing four counts of embezzlement after an audit revealed Cooper made suspicious cash withdrawals as well as making purchases at stores and on line with funds from the Green Spring Volunteer Fire Department in Washington County, Virginia.
