Letter grades released for Tennessee schools

State school letter grades were released Thursday and show Washington County TN Schools’ Virtual Learning Academy received an F grade. Grades are calculated by achievement, growth, growth for highest need students, and also college and career readiness. These grades are determined by exam scores. Jonesborough Middle and South Central Elementary receive D marks. The rest of the systems in Northeast Tennessee were Graded as C or better.
