High winds cause fatality in Russell County

Russell County Sheriff Bill Watson says one person is dead after strong winds blew through Russell County Monday night. The incident happened shortly after 10 p.m. along Second Street. Watson said a tree fell on a mobile home, trapping two people inside. Emergency crews were able to rescue one person. A second person inside the home did not survive. Names have not yet been released.
