Federal Judge dismisses 3rd attorney in Sean Williams case
Federal Judge Ronnie Greer granted appointed defense attorney Joseph McAfee’s motion to withdraw from accused child pornography producer Sean Williams‘s case Monday and that will delay the trail further. A successor was not immediately appointed as Greer had done following two previous attorney removals in Williams’ case. The judge said that he has ““not agreed at this point to appoint substitute counsel,” and said he may or may not. McAfee was Williams’ third court appointed attorney after Williams had dismissed David Leonard last summer and Bryce McKenzie withdrew in December 2023.
