Body found in Holston River in Kingsport identified

A body found in the Holston River at Riverbend Park on Tuesday has been identified as a Kingsport man. The Kingsport Police Department responded to a drowning on the South Fork of the Holston River at Riverbend Park around 6:45 p.m. The body found has been identified by police as 75 year old Ronald Wayne Davidson of Kingsport. Davidson was believed to be fishing in or around the river. The cause of death remains under investigation.
