Marion Police handle 2 shooting incidents Friday

The Marion Police Department responded to 2 separate shooting incidents Friday. The first shooting occurred at the Marion Farmers Market on Town Street at 3:13 p.m. Police were called after a citizen dispute resulted in the shooting. Responders found one person with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The wounded person was treated and transported by helicopter to a hospital. The suspect fled the scene and was later taken into custody and identified as 19 year old Andrew Douglas Hickman of Tazewell County. The second shooting happened Friday evening when Police were called to the shooting near 100 South Park Street. The suspect was taken into custody following a pursuit.
