Dump Truck crashes into church in Carter County

A driver was injured Monday after a dump truck crashed into a church in Carter County. The preliminary crash report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol says a dump truck was heading north on Piney Grove Road when it went off the right side of the road, overcorrected and then went off the left side of the road, crashing into Simerly Creek Believer’s Fellowship Church. The driver was injured in the crash, but the extent of the injuries was not specified.
