Two Russell County schools to close

Two area schools will close their doors for good at the end of this school year. According to the Russell County Schools Superintendent Kim Hooker, Copper Creek Elementary and Swords Creek Elementary will close. Tuesday night the school board voted six to one to close Swords Creek Elementary, and five to two to close Copper Creek. All employees of the schools will have new rolls at other schools in the district.
