Tennessee students granted FAFSA extension
Students in Tennessee will now have an extra few weeks to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, commonly known as FAFSA. The Tennessee Higher Education Commission says the application deadline has been extended to Friday, May 31. The extension comes after a delay in the release of FAFSA records, which postponed students’ information being delivered to schools. FAFSA usually starts in October but was delayed due to program updates. Students graduating high school, applying for the Tennessee Promise scholarship, and current college students who are enrolled at either a community college or Tennessee College of Applied Technology all qualify for the application extension.
